How to insert SWF file into PowerPoint 2003?

- Open PowerPoint and choose Blank Presentation, and then click the OK button.
- Choose a Blank new slide and click the OK button.
- After choose a Blank new slide, it's time to click the Slide View button on the left-below, so that the Blank new slide can be fully displayed.
- Click the "View" menu in the menu bar, and then choose "Toolbars" in its child menu, later "Control Toolbox" to let "Control Toolbox" displayed.
- Choose the icon
with the tools on it. - Scroll down until you get to Shockwave Flash Object and choose it.
- Then, you'll get crosshairs, so drag the "+" to a square the size you want your Flash to be.
- Right-click on the dragged square to get the menu for the object, and then choose "Properties" from the listed menu. Later, the "Properties" displayed.
- Find "EmbedMovie" and change the EmbedMovie property from "False" to "True".
- Then, go out to your system and get the path to your Flash file. Please note that once a Flash file has been chosen, get the path (location) to that file. You can find the path of your chosen SWF file by right-clicking and choosing Properties or from the top "Address" area.
- Copy the Path and write down the name of the Flash file, here it is "FloatingRaindrops.swf". Then back to PowerPoint.
- Paste the path first after the "Movie" Property (Ctrl+V) and then type in the name of the Flash file after a backslash (\).
- Then, the Flash SWF file has been inserted to your PowerPoint file, and you can close the Properties window.
However, please note that you have to be in "SlideShow" mode to view your Flash SWF file. Click icon
to get that view or go to the "View" toolbar menu and choose "Slide Show" to view the inserted SWF file.
